The short answer
Print or save a week of deposit-account activity that shows each weekday ACH. Match those lines to each merchant cash advance contract and to any commercial finance disclosure your state required. Call the funder if you need a written payoff. Ask a relief firm only after you know how many advances are pulling. Do not sign another advance, and do not sign a confession of judgment, just because someone is on the phone.

MCA debt relief starts while the weekday ACH keeps leaving. Record the pulls, read the paper, then decide who to call.
Record the ACH and the stacked advances
Save a week of deposit-account activity. Mark each weekday ACH and which merchant cash advance it belongs to. What is a merchant cash advance daily debit? is the short definition.
If two or more advances hit the same account, the weekday pulls can exceed that day's card sales. What if stacked MCA daily pulls exceed sales? is that split. We could not source a federal statute that sets one cap on stacked MCA pulls.
Read the disclosure next to the contract
New York's Commercial Finance Disclosure Law, implemented as 23 NYCRR Part 600, requires standardized disclosures for many commercial financings of $2,500,000 or less. The February 1, 2023 DFS announcement is the public summary.
California Financial Code section 22802 tells a provider what a commercial financing disclosure must contain, including the payment amount or method. How to read an MCA disclosure in New York and California keeps those two papers together.
Texas Finance Code Chapter 398, added by House Bill 700 and effective September 1, 2025, requires a disclosure when a provider extends a specific offer of commercial sales-based financing of less than $1 million to a recipient in Texas.
Florida's commercial financing disclosure law is in sections 559.961 through 559.9615. We cite the Florida Senate text for those sections on the Tallahassee page. A disclosure is not a new contract.
Watch the confession of judgment
Texas Finance Code 398.055 says a commercial sales-based financing contract that contains a confession of judgment, or any similar provision, is void and unenforceable. Florida Statute 55.05 says a power of attorney to confess judgment is absolutely null and void.
New York Civil Practice Law and Rules 3218 still allows a confession of judgment in some cases. California has no statewide ban we could source. Is a confession of judgment legal on an MCA? is that split.
Decide who to call
Call the funder if you need a written payoff or a pause of a weekday ACH. Keep a dated note. We do not have a sourced list of funder phone desks, so use the number on the contract.
A relief firm starts to make sense when more than one advance is pulling, a confession of judgment is in the file, or the disclosure does not match the contract. How to check an MCA relief company is the checklist for that call.
The FTC Yellowstone Capital refund page, updated June 2026, is a current federal example of MCA refunds. It is not a private relief result.
New York commercial finance disclosure, from Albany, California MCA disclosure rules, from Sacramento, Texas sales-based financing law, from Austin, and Florida commercial financing disclosure, from Tallahassee keep the local statutes and climate notes.

Ask about the weekday ACH
A partner MCA relief firm can call about the weekday ACH you are seeing. Asking is free, and the call does not hire them.
